Over the years, I’ve found 1 consistent fact to be true, most people truly want to change, but have tried before and weren’t able to because they didn’t know how.  Now years later, we look in the mirror and we are too petrified to even try.  Knowledge is everything but finding the one truth in the middle of 100 advertisements disguised to look like the truth is so hard.  When you have 50 different diets to choose from, a healthy food one day and then it’s bad for you the next, and product labels that are literally lying to you while you’re in the “health food” store, it’s impossible to do.   Hopefully, through this publication and some dedication from you, we can change our lives for the better

I’m not a physician or a psychiatrist, but I have personally applied everything you’ll read in this newsletter into my daily life because they work.  I encourage you to take 15 min a day to learn and try something new.  You’re worth it.

To start, I only ask that you read this newsletter every Wednesday and the week following, take a few minutes every day to learn and try something new.  Be consistent.  Remember, not every idea will be a perfect fit for you. That’s okay, because there will be something you find along the way that puts a smile on your face, builds your confidence a little, adds a little pep in your step, or, who knows, maybe even saves your life.

Headspace Guide to Meditation
Headspace takes a friendly, animated look at the benefits of meditation while offering techniques and guided meditations to jump-start your practice.

Most of us have thought about it but never found the time.  Wanted to escape life and move to a monastery to become a Monk. but never did.  Wanted to do it but it was too noisy.  Now there are no more excuses.  Netflix has a new Series on Meditation.  Each Episode is only 20 minutes long and very visually entertaining.  I was very skeptical at first but after a few days of 20 minutes per day and a few episodes, I got it and loved It. 20 min/day.

IF YOU DON’T HAVE ADHD,
YOU KNOW SOMEONE THAT DOES….

As the poster child of ADHD, I was intrigued when I saw this pop up on my YouTube feed.  I found this YouTube video to be the best explanation of ADHD I’ve ever heard.  Hopefully, it may shed some light for family members living with someone with ADHD.

EPIC MISTAKE! AND WE GREW UP EATING IT.

Everyone soul searches in different ways.  Prayer, Meditation, Family, Pets, Heart-Wrenching Movies, Books, or maybe you just need an hour of quiet time.  I think the most important thing is to find what works for you and be consistent doing it.  At a bare minimum, you need some sort of emotional recharge at least once a week.  So, after you finish meditating this week, think of the soul searching activity that you cherish most and set aside at least an hour a week to do it.  I’ve found several things that work for me.  Here’s two of them, Gatsby and Daisy.

FACT!  If you have a heartbeat, then you’ve been misled by a large organization you trusted.  Whether on purpose or inadvertently, you’ve been given incorrect or misleading information and you’ve taken this information and, whether you realize it or not, made life changing decisions based on this information.

This week we are going to start right at the top with the biggest organization and one of the largest mistakes or lies that was told to use in my lifetime.  In my opinion, this mistake caused more deaths per year than COVID has.  When I read this article a few years back, it was an eye opener and hit home.

When I was a child, I remember the day my parents read this magazine on the left that butter and fat are bad for you and Margarine was now healthier than Butter.  They ran out to the store and bought some margarine and threw the real butter away!

20 years later after consuming an ungodly amount of margarine, I read another article in Time magazine that explains what an epic mistake that was.  was and margarine is horrible for you because it’s made with partially hydrogenated soybean oil.  Now I’ve seen people buying this stuff over the last 6 years and they obviously haven’t read this article.

The lesson here is we need to make it a point to continue to learn and share.  More to come next week!
