Cannabinoids are chemicals that work with our body’s Endocannabinoid system. There are 2 types of naturally-occurring Cannabinoids:

1. Phytocannabinoids – which are Plant Cannabinoids
2. Endocannabinoids – which are the cannabinoids that our body produces
3. Synthetic cannabinoids – we do not use any in our products.

Phytocannabinoids are Plant Cannabinoids. These chemicals can be found in Hemp and work with our body’s Endocannabinoid system. These include CBG, CBC, CBN and THC.

For Whole Plant and Broad Spectrum Hemp Products, there are 80- 100 different Phytocannabinoids plus Terpenes, each with different effects. Hemp Lively products preserve all the available Phytocannabinoids and terpenes through their proprietary extraction techniques.

In our Delta 8, Delta 9 THC, and HHC products there are only 1-2 cannabinoids..  In our Vape Products we add terpenes to mimic the cannabis strain.

Endocannabinoids and Phytocannabinoids attach to our bodies Endocannabinoid receptors which then send signals to various areas of the body.  These areas participate in a variety of processes relating to the pain-sensation, memory, sleep, mood and appetite.

Whole Plant means the all the Major and Minor Phytocannabinoids as well as the Terpenes have been preserved and are included in the Hemp Lively product you are about to try.

Theoretically, Whole Plant and Full Spectrum are the same thing, that the product contains all the cannabinoids found in the hemp plant.  However, when it comes to CBD products, most full spectrum cbd products are far from full spectrum because they are made using a 3rd-run Full Spectrum CBD Distillate instead of a 1st-run CBD Distillate. 1st run distillates mean the extractor has removed all the unnecessary parts (fiber, fats, lipids, waxes, chlorophyll) and that’s it.  This leaves all the available major and minor cannabinoids and terpenes in the extract.  A 1st Run Full Spectrum CBD Distillate, or as we like to call it “Whole Plant Hemp Extract”, has around 57% – 67% CBD.  A 3rd run Full Spectrum CBD Distillate is usually at 80%-90% CBD.  You can make many more products at 90% but to get there, the extractor has had to remove all the minor cannabinoids and terpenes (both of which do not show up on a standard Potency Cannnabinoid Lab Test, or COA.

Minor Phytocannabinoids are the 70-90 remaining Phytocannabinoids that are found in Hemp. These Minor Phytocannabinoids are not tested during lab tests and do not show up on a COA (lab report). So if you aren’t getting your Hemp Oil from a Seed to Sale company, then they probably aren’t in there.

Terpenes are chemicals in Hemp that are responsible for the plant’s aroma (smell) and also have medicinal value.

COA stands for Certificate of Analysis. This is the lab report that shows the Potency (amount of each of the Major Phytocannabinoids) and Terpenes. Hemp Lively performs Full Panel Lab Tests on all products which also covers testing to make sure every product is Free of Pesticides, Heavy Metals, Residual Solvents, Microbials and Contaminants? These reports are also part of the COA.

Hemp Lively performs Full Panel Lab Tests on all CBD products which covers the Phytocannabinoid and Terpene Potency, as well as testing to make sure every product is Free of Pesticides, Heavy Metals, Residual Solvents, Microbials and Contaminants.  On products such as Delta 8, Delta 9 THC, and HHC, where it would be physically impossible for things like Heavy Metals and Pesticides to remain after their unique extraction processes, only a Potency lab test is performed, excluding vapes where we also test for terpenes.

Simply visit the product page on our website.  Towards the bottom of the page you’ll see a Lab Testing Section.

Whole Plant has less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC and THC Free has ZERO Delta 9 THC. It has been completely removed. Both products have Multiple Phytocannabinoids and Terpenes. THC Free products are also known as Broad Spectrum. Some people prefer to use products with No THC.

It is possible if you are taking a very high dose for a long period of time as Phytocannabinoids such as THC do build up in your system. If you are concerned with this, Please try our Broad Spectrum THC Free Hemp Oil.  It has a very similar Phytocannabinoid and Terpene profile to Whole Plant except the THC has been completely removed.
